It is always invigorating to find outstanding new talent in its formative moments; when the excitement of discovering an artist, or artists, who embody a magically authentic and unadulterated musicality gives way to the anticipatory speculation as to just where they may end up taking their obvious talent. Such is the case for us with London-based duo Lil Rice & Ollie Clark - the combination of Rice's raw, huskily expressive voice that breathes intuitively pure emotion into the thoughtfully articulate lyricism of their co-written song, 'Lions', is accompanied by Clark's superbly fluent guitar as they showcase the instinctively cohesive teamwork that has seen them invited to perform at renowned London venues such as The Troubadour and The Half Moon Putney, and leaves us sure that these are two names to remember for the future.
